Slow Cooker Silverside with Horseradish Sauce

Instructions

Silverside

Step 1
Rinse the corned beef well to remove all of the salty brine
Step 2
Place silverside into the bowl of a 5 litre slow-cooker. Add herbs, garlic, onion, celery,, carrot, vinegar, Sugar, water and peppercorns.
Step 3
Cover with lid. Turn slow-cooker on low. Cook for 8 hours or until silverside is tender
Step 4
Remove silverside from cooking liquid and transfer to chopping board. Stand 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
Step 5
Serve with Mash | Green Beans & Horseraddish Sauce

Horseradish Sauce

Step 6
Heat milk until hot.
Step 7
Melt butter in a medium saucepan, add flour; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Gradually add milk, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
Step 8
Stir in horseradish cream and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 9
Season with salt and pepper.
