Instructions

Step 1
Flour and season the lamb shanks, heat olive oil in a large pan and cook shanks on high heat on all sides until browned. You can leave this step out too and just put straight into slow cooker but this does give a better depth of flavour.
Step 2
Add everything to the slow cooker except the cornflour and cook 6 hours high or 8 hours low. Add cornflour mixed with water if sauce needs to be thicker.
Step 3
Sere with buttery mash and peas.
