2 tablespoonsolive oil

20 ouncesflank steak
thinly sliced

1 cuplow-sodium soy sauce

½ cupcornstarch

2 teaspoonsground ginger

1 teaspoongarlic powder

½ teaspoonblack pepper

½ teaspoonred pepper flakes

2red bell pepper

1 headbroccoli
florets cut

16 ounceschow mein noodles

1 cupbeef broth

½ cupsoy sauce

2 tablespoonsrice vinegar

2 tablespoonssesame oil

Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the sliced flank steak, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat.
Step 2
Set the Instant Pot to saute mode. Add the olive oil and heat until hot.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, garlic, bell peppers, and broccoli to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.

Add the chow mein noodles, beef broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.

Lock the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Quick release the pressure and carefully remove the lid.

Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.

For a thicker sauce, whisk together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Add to the Instant Pot after the pressure has been released and cook until thickened, about 1 minute.

If you don't have chow mein noodles, you can use any type of noodles you like, such as spaghetti, ramen, or soba noodles.

To make this chow mein gluten-free, use gluten-free noodles.
