Classic Banana Bread -

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350° F and grease a 9 x 5 loaf pan. I like to use my cast iron loaf pan for this bread because it heats evenly and gives it a nice, golden brown crust.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, mashed the 3 overripe bananas with a fork.
Step 3
Then add the melted butter and stir until well combined.
Step 4
Add the eggs, granulated sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
Step 5
Sift together the dry (2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp baking powder, and ¼ tsp salt). Using a spatula, fold it in.
Step 6
Fold in the ½ cup of chopped walnuts.
Step 7
Pour the batter in a pre-greased 9×5 inch loaf pan.
Step 8
Bake at 350°F for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for about 20 minutes.
