1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, mash ripe banana, set aside. Brown the butter to light amber, let cool. Add brown butter and mix until well combined.

4. Add the eggs to the banana mixture and beat well. Then, add the light brown sugar, honey and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is fully incorporated.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.

6. If using walnuts, fold them into the batter until evenly distributed.

7. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining walnuts on top (optional)
