One Pan Cajun Dirty Rice

Ingredients
5 servings

2 tablespoonsolive oil

2 tablespoonsunsalted butter

1onion
medium size

1red bell pepper

1orange bell pepper

2stalks of celery

4cloves garlic

1 poundground beef

1 tablespoonchicken bouillon

1 tablespoonCajun seasoning

1 tablespoonpaprika

½ tablespoononion powder

½ tablespoongarlic powder

1 teaspoonchili powder

2 tablespoonsunsalted butter
for rice

2 cupsbasmati rice
or long grain, rinsed

4 cupschicken broth

scallions
for garnish
Instructions
Step 1
1. Put a pan on medium-high heat, add in 2 Tbsp butter and olive oil. Add in the onion, bell peppers, celery, garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Step 2
2. Add in the ground beef, the seasonings chicken bouillon, Cajun, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and chili powder. Mix and cook until beef is browned and cooked through for about 8 to 10 minutes then remove from pan.
Step 3
3. To the same pan add in 2 more tablespoons butter. Add in the rinsed rice and sauté for about 2 minutes. Pour in 4 cups of chicken broth, cover and cook until liquid reduces down. Then reduce the heat to really low and cook for another 15-20 minutes.
Step 4
4. Once the rice is cooked, fluff with a fork. Then add in the ground beef mixture, mix together gently until well combined. Garnish with green onions, serve and enjoy!
