2 ¼ cupsflour

1 teaspoonbaking powder

1 teaspooncornstarch

¾ teaspoonsalt

¼ teaspoonbaking soda

1 cupbutter
softened

3 ouncescream cheese
softened

1 ¼ cupsugar

1 teaspoonvanilla

1 teaspoonvinegar

1egg

1 ouncesred food coloring

¼ cupunsweetened cocoa powder

½ cupbutter
softened

5 ouncescream cheese
softened

2 cupspowdered sugar

1 teaspoonvanilla
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, salt, baking soda and cocoa powder. Set aside.






Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Add the vanilla, vinegar, egg, and food coloring and beat to combine.







Step 4
Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients.
Step 5
Use a tablespoon to scoop out dough and roll into a ball. Place the ball on the baking sheet and press flat with your fingers.
Step 6
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is still soft.
Step 7
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely.
Step 8
While the cookies are cooling, make the icing by beating together the butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and well combined. Spread over the top of the cooled cookies.
