Step 1
Stem mushrooms and cut caps into 1/4 inch slices.
Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.
Peel and mince shallot.
Thinly slice garlic.

Step 2
Place a large pot over medium heat and add 1 tbsp olive oil. Add shallots, mushrooms, white portions of green onions, garlic and 1/4 tsp salt, and a pinch of pepper.
Stir occasionally until translucent, 4-6 minutes.

Step 3
Add meat and umami seasoning to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains, 4-10 minutes.

Add flour to hot pot and stir until no dry flour remains.
Add 2 cups water, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. One simmering, reduce heat to low and stir occasionally, 10 minutes.
Remove from burner.
