Chicken n Dumplings (Chicken Pastry)

Ultimate Comfort Food! I love this over mashed potatoes. I Know, carbs loaded on top of carbs but you'll feel so good!!! A side of peas helps make it healthy, LOL.

Instructions

Step 1
In a Large Instant pot with a metal rack, place the chicken and breast rib meat. Add the Onion, Carrots, Celery, Bay Leaves, Cilantro, Salt, Peppercorns, and Water.
Step 2
Seal Instant pot with lid. On high pressure cook for 30 Minutes, Natural release for 15 minutes. Release remaining steam. Remove lid and cook 15 minutes before trying to remove meat onto a cookie sheet to cool.
Step 3
Once chicken meat cooled, remove meat from bones. The bones need to be discarded because these are cooked bones.
Step 4
Using a strainer placed over a large measuring glass, seperate the vegetables from the broth.
Step 5
The cooled vegetables can be feed to chickens, livestock or used in garden.

Assembling the Chicken and Pastry

Step 6
In a Large Stock Pot, pour all the chicken broth/stock and bring to a boil.
Step 7
Add the 1 Tablespoon black pepper to the broth
Step 8
Once the broth comes to a boil, start breaking the frozen pastry along perforated lines and add one at a time to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to ensure the broth doesn't boil over as add the remaining pastry through the process.
Step 9
Add Chicken, shredded
Step 10
Add Heavy Cream and warm. Be careful not to boil to curdle milk. Just till warm to eat.
