Chocolate Coconut Cake
You guys have to try this cake, it’s so good!😍. It’s also perfect for this cold weather with a cup of your favourite tea or coffee!! Any coconut fans out here??
I baked the cake in this gorgeous and unusual
baking pan. I fell in love with this pan because it was so different. Don’t you guys think it’s so pretty?😍.
If you’re concerned about your cakes sticking then trust me you’ve got to try the
range of baking pans. You guys have seen me use a number of them and I’ve never had an issue. I do use cook and spray to grease the pans before baking and they’re perfect!!

In the meantime, here’s the recipe for this decadent cake🥰
Chocolate Coconut Cake
Chocolate Layer
125g butter/margerine
1/2 cup castor sugar
3 egg yolks
1 and 1/2 tblsp cocoa
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
3/4 cup milk
Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
Add yolks and beat well.
Add the rest of ingredients and mix.
Set aside
Coconut mixture
3 egg whites
1/2 cup icing sugar
1 and 1/4 cup coconut
Beat egg whites. Add icing sugar and coconut and mix.
In a greased pan, layer half the chocolate mixture. Add the coconut mixture. Lastly add the remainder of the chocolate mixture.
Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 40 minutes or until done.
Decorate with chocolate and coconut or as desired. Serve with a chocolate ganache.
