2 tspcanola oil

1sweet onion
medium chopped

1 x 12 ozdark beer

1 tspdried thyme

1 tspdry mustard

¾ tspsalt

pepper
to taste

2.5 poundsground beef

1 cupwhole wheat breadcrumbs

¼ cupparsley
chopped, sub spinach or broccoli

1egg
large, lightly beaten

1egg white
lightly beaten

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven 375
Step 2
Cook onion in oil. Pour in beer, boil. Reduce heat and cook until syrupy (8-10 min).
Step 3
Transfer syrup to large bowl. Stir in thyme, dry mustard, salt, pepper, Let cool.
Step 4
Add beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, eggs. Mix thoroughly and transfer to a greased pan. Don’t OVERMIX!
Step 5
Bake until meat comes to 160F (45m). If using the glaze, spread on top for last 15 minutes of cooking
Step 6
Let rest for 10min
