Step 1
Preheat your oven to 170°C (325°F) and grease a bundt pan or any cake pan of your choice.
Step 2
In a large bowl, add the softened butter and sugar. Beat them together until light and fluffy.

Add one egg at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Step 4
Once the eggs are incorporated, add the vanilla extract and vegetable oil. Mix again until well combined.

In a separate bowl, combine the self-raising flour, baking powder, and salt.

6. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, alternating between the two. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Divide the cake batter into two equal parts.

8. Add the cocoa powder to one half of the batter and mix well to create a chocolate batter.

Spoon the vanilla and chocolate batters alternately into the prepared bundt pan. Use a skewer or a knife to create a marble pattern by swirling the batters together.

Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan before removing.

Once the cake has cooled, carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
