Ingredients
4 servings
2 table spoonsolive oil
1yellow onion
small, chopped into small pieces
6 slicesprosciutto
chopped into small pieces
1 table spoongarlic
chopped
1 x 28 ozcan crushed tomatos
2 table spoonssalted butter
1 teaspoonkosher salt
black pepper
to taste
2 table spoonsItalian seasoning
Red crushed pepper flakes
to taste
1 cupheavy cream
Grated parmesan reggiano
to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a medium sauce pan on medium heat.
Step 2
Brown onions and prosciutto until onions are tender about 5 mins.
Step 3
Add in garlic and cook for about 1 min.
Step 4
Mix in butter and seasoning
Step 5
Stir in can if crushed tomatoes, half a can at a time
Step 6
Reduce to simmer for 10 mins and stir occasionally.
Step 7
Stir in heavy cream and desired amount of grated cheese. Let simmer another 3 mins stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Mix with your favorite spaghetti or pasta and enjoy.
