Step 1
To prepare the dough, combine all dough ingredients in a bowl, initially mixing with a spoon and then using your hands. Transfer the resulting dough to a work surface, kneading for an additional 5-7 minutes. Cover the dough with cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
Step 2
In the meantime, assemble the filling by combining all the ingredients in a bowl, ensuring thorough mixing. Cover the filling and let it rest in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Taking one portion at a time, lightly knead, form a ball, and roll it into a very thin (1mm) circle, approximately 9 inches in diameter. Keep the remaining dough covered to prevent drying
Step 4
Spread 1/6 of the meat over half of the dough, maintaining an even distribution and leaving a clean 2 cm border. Brush the border with water and fold the dough over the meat, creating a half-moon shape. Ensure edges are sealed well, trim any excess, and use a fork to imprint a pattern on the cheburek. Repeat this process with the rest of the dough and meat.
Step 5
In a frying pan, heat a generous amount of oil. Fry the chebureki, 1 or 2 at a time depending on your pan size, for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden. Once done, place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Step 6
Serve and enjoy with sour cream!
