Instructions
Step 1
line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper (work in batches if necessary) set aside. preheat oven to 375
Step 2
in a small bowl combine chocolate filling ingredients. stir until creamy
Step 3
in second bowl, combine sweet crumb ingredients. mix until crumbly
Step 4
roll out one sheet at a time to form a rectangle. with short side facing you spread half the chocolate mixture on lower half of the dough. fold uncoated half over chocolate side.
Step 5
using a pizza cutter, cut the pastry in 1/2 inch strips. Twist the ends in opposite directions to give a spiraled look. Transfer to baking sheets an inch apart. Refrigerate for 10 min. meanwhile repeat with second batch.
Step 6
Remove from fridge, brush lightly with egg wash. sprinkle with sweet crumbs.
Step 7
bake until puffed and golden, about 20 min
