Step 1
Cook the box of pasta. Drain and put aside. Put the butter in the same pot you cooked the pasta. When it’s almost melted, add in the garlic. Cook for a minute, then whisk in the flour. Cook for about 2 minutes. Then whisk in the chicken broth, milk, and evaporated milk. Make sure the flour is completely blended in. Bring this to a boil, whisking often so it doesn’t burn. When it thickens up, turn down the heat. Break up the American cheese and add it into the pot. Whisk to combine it. Then add on some shredded cheddar. Once all of the cheese has melted, add in the pasta and stir it up.
