Instructions
Step 1
1) add yeast,sugar and water to a bowl and whisk. Let sit 5 to 10 minutes till it starts to froth

2) add egg,milk to yeast bowl and whisk
Step 3
3) in a new bowl add flour,salt,butter and the yeast mixture. Mix well till dough comes clean from bowl

4) place dough into a oiled bowl and cover with a damp bowl or plastic wrap

5) roll out dough an cut into even squares
Step 6
6) add about 3inches of oil to a frying pan
Step 7
7) fry beignets for 5 to 6 mins until golden brown on both sides, make sure that you cook both sides so it is cooked evenly
Step 8
8) sprinkle beignets with powdered sugar and honey (optional)
