Instructions

Step 1
Separate egg yolks from whites. Beat whites until stiff. Beat yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar.
Step 2
Mix farmer's cheese, beaten yolks, stiff egg whites, semolina, and lemon zest.
Step 3
Let it rest for 20 minutes for semolina to soak up moisture. Toast breadcrumbs in oil.
Step 4
Boil a pot of salted water. Form dumplings, cook until they float. Drain, roll in toasted breadcrumbs, sprinkle with sugar, and serve with sour cream or blemded cottage cheese.
