Instructions
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar,
baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter or mar-
garine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In
asmall bowl combine egg and milk; add all at
once to dry ingredients and stir just to moisten.
Knead gently on a lightly floured surface about
12 strokes. Pat or roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut
into 9 biscuits with a floured 2%2-inch biscuit
cutter. Bake on an ungreased baking sheet in
a 450° oven about 10 minutes or till golden.
Split; butter bottom layers. Fill and top with
fresh fruit and whipped cream. Serve warm
