Instructions

Step 1
Put all the ingredients for the satay marinade in a food processor and whiz until you have quite a runny, yellow-coloured marinade.
Step 2
Put the meat on a chopping board and slice on an angle going across the grain into thin 10-12cm strips. Put into the satay marinade, separate the pieces and massage the marinade into the meat. Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 6 hours or overnight.
Step 3
Remove the meat from the fridge and thread onto pre-soaked skewers, reserving the marinade.
Step 4
Preheat the barbecue hotplate to high and drizzle with a little olive oil to grease. Put the satay stick on the hotplate and cook for 4 minutes, brushing a little remaining marinade onto the meat. The cooked side should develop a dark golden crust. Turn over and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 5
Meanwhile, heat the reserved marinade in a small saucepan. Serve skewers with the reserved marinade.
