Instructions
Step 1
Start by combining the listed ingredients in a medium sauce pan and simmer over medium-low heat until bubbling, about 10 minutes. Stir regularly to avoid burning.
orange juice1 cup
ginger½ tsp
garlic1 tsp
soy sauce2 Tbsp
rice vinegar2 Tbsp
Step 2
Next, mix cornstarch and 2 tbsp water together to create a slurry. Add that slurry to your sauce pan and stir. This will help to thicken your sauce so it holds on to wings, cauliflower, whatever your heart desires.
cornstarch2 Tbsp
Step 3
Continue mixing your sauce until it's the consistency of slightly loose jam. If you part the sauce down the middle with your spatula, the sauce should take about 4-5 seconds to come back together. Remove from heat.
Step 4
Lastly, put your chicken nuggets into a large bowl with a lid or a large zip lock bag. Add your sauce and shake to coat the chicken. If your pan is large enough, this can be done in the pan, but I find it easier to transfer everything to a large container. Serve topped with toasted sesame seeds and green onions and your choice of sides.
