Yummy ham glaze no mustard

Instructions

Step 1
Take spiral ham out of fridge 1 hour before cooking
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 3
In a metal roasting pan (long and deep metal), place the spiral ham in the center (flat side on the pan). Make sure the ham is out of the packaging from the store.
Step 4
On the stove, add the maple syrup and spices/seasonings to a small or medium saucepan
Step 5
Heat the ingredients on LOW heat, continuously whisking/mixing all the ingredients gently (it will heat very quickly and potentially splatter outside of the saucepan if too hot. Learned from personal experience.
Step 6
If ham is not pre-sliced, slice it horizontally all the way around. Don't cut the pieces off. Make the pieces thick enough where they don't break, but can still be moved to fully absorb the glaze.
Step 7
Drizzle the 1/2 of the glaze over the ham and use a spoon to completely coat the meat. Make sure to put the glaze in the horizontal cuts of the ham to reduce any dryness while in the oven. Save the last 1/2 of the glaze for later.
Step 8
Cover the ham with aluminum foil and wrap it around the entire opening of the pan to contain heat.
Step 9
Bake the ham in the oven for approximately 1 hour, while covered with foil.
Step 10
Take the ham out and use the last of the glaze remaining to brush the ham.
Step 11
Bake in the oven, while uncovered, until fully heated (140°F - 165°F). Oven times vary but check after 10-15 minutes.
Step 12
Once fully heated, remove ham and use a spoon to scoop juices and glaze from the bottom of the roasting pan.
Step 13
Serve it!
