Sweet and Spicy Apple Cider BBQ Sauce
3 steps
Cook:15min
This apple cider BBQ sauce is perfect for fall. The apple cider adds the perfect level of sweetness and tang, and it's sweetened with maple syrup, which gives it a slight maple flavor that's so so good. For you spice lovers, I added some cayenne, so it has the perfect level of kick to balance out the sweetness. And best of all, this recipe is totally Paleo compliant (as long as your apple cider is!), so this sauce is (sort of) guilt-free.

Step 2
Once combined, put the saucepan over medium-high heat and add the rest of the ingredients, whisking to combine everything. Then allow the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. Stir every couple of minutes.
Step 3
Once the sauce is done, turn off the heat and allow it to cool, then transfer it to a jar or other air-tight container.
