My World Famous Macaroni Salad

Recipe was my mother's. I have very fond memories of her fixing it for picnics, barbecues, and church outings. This recipe will make 6+ cups using a very few simple ingredients but having a very large comfort food factor.

Prep
Step 1
Dice the tomatoes to 1/4 inches.
Step 2
Peel and dice baby cucumber and celery (optional).
Step 3
Dice the sweet onion.
Step 4
Cook pasta to al dente (approx. 9 minutes). Place in refrigerator to cool.
Step 5
Mix mayo and Miracle Whip throughly.
Combining Ingredients
Step 6
Remove pasta from the refrigerator and stir to loosen pasta.
Step 7
Add cucumber, celery (optional), and onion. Stir lightly until the ingredients have combined. Let rest for a few minutes.
Step 8
Add dressing mix and stir until all pasta is covered.
Step 9
Drain juice from tomatoes and slowly fold into salad mix.
Step 10
Return salad to refrigerator and allow to cool for 2 hours.
