Step 1
1. Char the red bell peppers by placing them under the broiler for 5-7 minutes until the skin is charred. Remove from heat and let cool before removing the charred skin and seeds. Chop the peppers.

2. In a blender, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red bell peppers, minced garlic, diced red onion, ground coriander, harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Blend until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator.

3. Prepare the fava beans by draining and rinsing them. Remove the outer skins by gently squeezing each bean. Set aside.

4. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add the fava beans, lemon juice, and salt. Cook until beans are heated through.
Step 5
5. To serve, pour the chilled soup into bowls. Top with a spoonful of fava beans and a drizzle of olive oil. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired. Enjoy the easy and delicious cold bell pepper soup!
