Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

In a large saute pan, combine the butter sour cream milk, one cup of cheese, salt, and pepper. heat over medium heat whisking constantly until the ingredients are evenly combined in the cheese has melted. remove from heat.

In a large bowl, stir together the chicken, green chilies and their liquid, cumin, garlic powder, lime juice, and remaining salt until evenly combined.

Arrange 4 tortillas over the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish and spoon one cup of the seasoned chicken evenly over the tortilla, then sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese evenly over the top. Repeat these layers 3 more times using the remaining tortillas, chicken, and cheese. pour the white sauce over the top of the casserole.

Bake for thirty minutes or until the top starts to look golden brown.
Step 6
Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes, slice, and serve.
