Ingredients

2chicken breasts
cooked and shredded, I use a store bought rotisserie chicken
Onion
celery
carrots
as desired
2 cupschicken broth
0.5 stickbutter
2 cupsbisquick
2 cupswhole milk
1 cancream of chicken soup
the herbed cream of chicken soup if you can find it
3 teaspoonschicken granules
I use
½ teaspoondried sage
1 teaspoonblack pepper
½ teaspoonsalt
or more to taste
canned peas
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Add onion, carrots and celery. Sauté vegetable for 5 minutes, until vegetables being to soften. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
Step 3
Layer 1: Spray 9 X 13 casserole dish with Pam, add vegetable, and shredded chicken. Sprinkle black pepper and dried sage over this layer. Do not stir.
Step 4
Layer 2: In small bowl, mix milk and Bisquick. Slowly pour all over chicken. Do not stir.
Step 5
Layer 3: In medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of chicken broth, chicken granuels and soup. Once blended, slowly pour over the Bisquick layer. Do not stir.
Step 6
Bake casserole for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
