Instructions

Step 1
Place sweet potatoes in a large pot with cold water, enough to cover them. Add salt and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until fork tender
Step 3
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper and add the butter, half the chicken broth and the garlic powder. (If you prefer you can use cream or milk)
Step 5
Mash with a fork or potato masher until smooth. Add more chicken broth if needed.
Step 6
Taste and add more salt and pepper or garlic if needed.
Step 7
Serve and enjoy!
