Ingredients
4 servings
For the steak bites
1 poundsirloin steak
cut into cubes
2 tablespoonsgarlic
minced
4 tablespoonsbutter
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
fresh parsley
chopped, for garnish
For the smashed potatoes
Instructions
Prepare the potatoes
Step 1
Boil the baby potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.

Preheat a pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

Place the potatoes on the pan/griddle and smash them lightly with a spatula.

Drizzle the smashed potatoes with olive oil and season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Cook until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes on each side.

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the potatoes and cook until melted.

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped chives.
Prepare the steak bites
Step 8
Heat the pan/griddle over high heat and add the butter.
Step 9
Once the butter is melted and foamy, add the minced garlic and saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Step 10
Add the steak bites to the pangriddle, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
Serve
Step 11
Serve the garlic butter and steak bites along side the cheesy smashed potatoes.
