Instructions
Step 1
Mix the plain flour, wholemeal flour, salt, bicarb of soda and sugar into a bowl.
Step 2
Rub the butter into the flour mixture.
Step 3
Make a well in the centre of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir with a spatula until dry mixture is completely moistened.
Step 4
Place the dough into a prepared loaf tin. Sprinkle with the porridge oats.
Step 5
Bake in oven at 200c for 15 minutes then 170 for 15 minutes approx.
