Instructions

Step 1
Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. In a large pot or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.

Step 2
In the same pot, add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 11-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is al dente.

Once the pasta is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Add the cooked chicken back into the pot with the peas and stir until everything is well combined.
