Step 1
Rinse beans. Add the beans, broth, water, sausage, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and bay leaf into a slow cooker. Cook on high for 5 hours, until beans are tender.
Step 2
Add in the tomatoes, chili powder, and lemon juice. Cook an additional 30 min - 1 hour. Season well with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve with cornbread or crackers - enjoy!
