Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the Peppers:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or oil and place the peppers in the dish.

Cook the Ground Beef:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

Add the Onion and Garlic:

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.

Mix in Bacon and Seasoning:

Stir in the crumbled bacon, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the BBQ sauce and stir until the mixture is well combined and heated through.

Stuff the Peppers:

Spoon the beef and bacon mixture into the prepared bell peppers, pressing gently to pack the filling in. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of each stuffed pepper.

Bake the Stuffed Peppers:

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. After baking, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
