Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Chicken pasta with a creamy Alfredo sauce and optional parsley.

Instructions

Step 1
Cook the fettuccine in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain.
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 3
Add chicken strips to the skillet and cook until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4
In the same skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
Step 5
Add onions and garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant.
Step 6
Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
Step 7
Pour in the cream and bring it to a simmer.
Step 8
Reduce the heat, then add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Step 9
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 10
Return the chicken to the skillet and mix with the sauce.
Step 11
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
Step 12
Garnish with chopped parsley, if using, and serve immediately.
