Instructions
Step 1
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully lower the eggs into the boiling water using a strainer, then cover with a lid. Cook for 6 minutes for the perfect soft boiled eggs.
Step 2
2. Once done, remove the lid and carefully transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice bath. Let them cool for at least 15 minutes before peeling. Gently peel the eggs and set them aside while you prepare the marinade.
Step 3
3. In a bowl or container, combine onion, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, water, rice syrup, red chili, Korean chili pepper, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Stir until the syrup is fully dissolved and all the ingredients are well combined.
Step 4
4. Transfer the peeled eggs into the marinade. Give it a good mix to make sure that the eggs are immersed in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Step 5
5. Serve the eggs with a bowl of steamed rice, drizzle more marinade on top and enjoy!
