Instructions
Step 1
1) Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, 1 tbsp cooking wine and 1 tbsp garlic powder. Set it aside for 20 minutes.

2) Slice scallion into thin strips and put them into a bowl with water. This helps to soften their strong flavor.

3) Mix soy sauce, water, lemon juice, vinegar, corn syrup, mustard and garlic for the sauce.
Step 4
4) Combine Korean Fried Chicken frying mix and water in a bowl. Coat the chicken pieces with the batter and coat them again in the frying mix.
Step 5
5) In a deep saucepan (or frier), add a generous amount of oil and heat it until the oil temperature reaches 175 degree C. Carefully add the battered chicken to the oil and fry for 2 minutes. Remove the chicken and let it rest on a wire rack for 2 minutes. Fry again until golden brown on both sides.
Step 6
6) Serve with scallion on top and pour the sauce over the fried chicken.
