Instructions

Step 1
Combine tempura flakes, aonori, soy sauce, sugar, dashi granules, sesame oil, and chicken bouillon powder in a large bowl.
Step 2
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until evenly distributed.
Step 3
Add cooked Japanese short-grain rice to the bowl once all the liquid is absorbed.
Step 4
Mix until the seasoning mixture is evenly spread throughout the rice.
Step 5
Divide the rice into equal portions and shape into onigiri. Using a mold is recommended as this rice mixture is oily and difficult to shape by hand.
