Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Step 2
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt - set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl of an electric mixer, combine butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla and molasses. Beat at medium speed for about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating until smooth.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon.
Step 6
Spread one third of batter in a greased and lightly floured 10-inch loaf pan.
Step 7
Sprinkle one third of the nut mixture.
Step 8
Repeat steps 5 and 6 two more times.
Step 9
Bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Step 10
Let stand on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then turn pan out onto rack. Serve slightly warm or cool.
