12 ozpasta
like spaghetti, linguine, or rotini

1 cuphummus

1zest of lemon

2 Tbsplemon juice

2cloves garlic

¼ cupolive oil

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste

red pepper flakes
optional

fresh parsley
for garnish
Tomato Relish

1tomato

3 Tbspolive oil

3 Tbspapple cider vinegar

1clove garlic

1 TbspParmesan Garlic seasoning

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste
Brown Butter Asparagus
Instructions
Step 1
Boil pasta in salted water
Step 2
I'm a separate bowl, mix hummus, lemon zest and juice, garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes if you're using them.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a pan until it starts smelling nutty and most of the foam has disappeared
Step 4
Chop off the asparagus bottoms and saute them in the brown butter until they're tender yet still have a bite.
Step 5
Remove the asparagus from the pan and add the remaining strained brown butter into the hummus sauce.
Step 6
Toss the pasta in the sauce in a hot pan, reserving some pasta water for mixing.
Tomato relish garnish
Step 7
Dice the tomato
Step 8
Mix the tomato with the remaining ingredients.
