Instructions

Step 1
Heat 2 Tbsp butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Step 2
2. Brown the chicken (don’t need to cook through), then remove from pan.
Step 3
3. Melt another 2 Tbsp butter on medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened.
Step 4
4. Add garlic, garam masala, ginger, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne.
Step 5
5. Stir together and cook for 45 seconds.
Step 6
6. Add tomato sauce, bring to a simmer, and cook 5 minutes.
Step 7
7. Add cream.
Step 8
8. Return chicken to the pan, bring to a gentle simmer, and cook for 10–15 minutes.
Step 9
9. Keep heat low to avoid boiling.
Step 10
10. Stir in remaining 2 Tbsp butter. Season with salt and pepper.
