((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Fill a medium-sized pot with no more than 1 cm of boiling hot water from the water filter.
Step 5
((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Turn the heat on high to bring it to a boil, placing the lid on top to increase the boiling process's heating speed.
Step 6
((FOR DAL+RICE)) Tear the Everyday Dal and Hungryroot Seasoned Jasmine Rice microwaveable bags according to the instructions on the back of each bag.
Step 7
((FOR DAL+RICE)) Place the Everyday Dal and Hungryroot Seasoned Jasmine Rice bags in the microwave, one on either side of the rotating dish.
Step 8
((FOR DAL+RICE)) Microwave the bags for 2 minutes at the same time.

((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Put roughly 2 cups of fresh green beans in the pot once the water is boiling.

((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Turn the heat down to medium and put the lid back on top of the pot.
Step 11
((FOR DAL+RICE)) Leave the bags in the microwave undisturbed while you steam the green beans to keep them warm and prevent them from drying out too much.

((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Every minute, open up the pot and use tongs to mix them around, ensuring all of the green beans have equal amounts of time in each part of the pot -- under the water, near the top, and in the middle.

((FOR GREEN BEANS)) Every few minutes, check the toughness of one of the thickest green beans in the pot and continue steaming them until they reach your desired tenderness.

Fully tear open both bags (Dal + Rice) and place them side-by-side in a big bowl, with the rice taking up about 3/4 of the bottom of the bowl and the dal being dumped to fill up about 1/4 of the bottom of the bowl, meaning the dal will be piled hire than the rice.
Step 15
Pour the finished, steamed green beans on top of the rice.
Step 16
Sprinkle garlic salt and black pepper to taste on the green beans.
