Ingredients
4 servings
500gbeef mince
3 Tbspwhite sesame seeds
plus extra for sprinkling
2 Tbspwater
1 Tbspcanola oil
1onion
finely chopped
1 Tbspminced ginger
1garlic clove
finely minced
4green onions
very finely sliced diagonally

Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 tbsp of canola oil in a large nonstick frying pan over high heat.
Step 2
Add the chopped onion and stir for 1-2 minutes until translucent.
Step 3
Add beef mince and cook, breaking it up as you go, until no longer red.
Step 4
Mix sauce ingredients: soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, sesame oil, honey, and oyster sauce in a bowl.
Step 5
Add this sauce to the beef and cook for 30 seconds until mostly evaporated.
Step 6
Stir in sesame seeds, and leave the beef undisturbed for 30 seconds to caramelize.
Step 7
Stir, and let it caramelize once more for 30 seconds.
Step 8
Add water, stir for another 30 seconds, and serve over rice.
Step 9
Garnish with extra sesame seeds, green onion, and serve with Cucumber Ribbons.
