BASIC VINAIGRETTE
1 step
Prep:10min
This basic vinaigrette is delicious as a dressing with any salad and can be made using different flavoured wine vinegars.
When you are more confident, why not try adding other ingredients such as herbs, pesto or sun-dried tomatoes or flavoured oils and nuts, such as walnuts or hazelnuts. Sesame or poppy seeds can also add more texture.
Because vinegar has some natural preservative effect, home-made vinaigrette can be kept in a bottle or a jar for up to one week, (N.B. However, nuts for example will go soft).
