They tell you to use Bramley apples but ignore that. Any apple works. Plus the ingredient amounts for the crumble aren't an exact science.
The recipe apparently makes 2 servings but they probably mean them for a 6ft7 miner and a construction worker with a beer belly.
Crumble can be frozen. Allow the filling to cool, top with your crumble topping, wrap well and freeze for up to 3 months. Defrost overnight then bake.

Instructions
Step 1
Heat the oven to 190C/170 fan.
Step 2
Toss the apples with 1 tsp sugar and put in a (ceramic) baking dish at least 5cm deep. Flatten down to prevent too much crumble falling through.
Step 3
Put 85g plain flour and 25g sugar in a bowl with a pinch of salt.
Step 4
Slice in 45g cold butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture looks like moist breadcrumbs. Shake the bowl and any big bits will come to the surface – rub them in.
Step 5
Pour the crumb mix over the apples and even out. Press down so that it holds together and goes crisp.
Step 6
Sprinkle 1 tbsp oats over evenly.
Step 7
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples feel very soft. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before serving on top of the chocolate, which will melt.
