Instructions

Step 1
Cook and shred chicken in butter.
Step 2
Add broth, thyme, and chicken to a large pot or Dutch oven.

Simmer and add milk or cream.
Step 4
Mix dough, roll out, and cut into strips or desired pieces, or use biscuit dough.

Bring soup to a slow boil and drop in dumplings one at a time.

Stir frequently to keep dumplings from sticking.

Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until dumplings start to sink and broth thickens.
