Ingredients

2 lbschicken wings
thawed & patted dry
1 tspblack pepper
1 tspsalt
1 tsppaprika
1 tspgarlic powder
cornstarch
for extra crispiness
1 Tbspoil
optional, for oven/air fryer crisp
⅓ cuphoney
4 clovesgarlic
minced
2 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbspbrown sugar
rice vinegar
or white vinegar
1 Tbspbutter
1 tspchili flakes
for spicy honey garlic, Optional
Instructions
Step 1
Prep the wings 1. Pat the wings very dry with paper towels. 2. Season with: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder. 3. Add 2 tbsp cornstarch and toss until lightly coated. This gives the wings that crispy shell.
Step 2
Bake or Air Fry Until Crispy Oven Method: 1. Preheat to 425°F (220°C). 2. Lay wings on a rack over a baking tray. 3. Brush or spray lightly with oil. 4. Bake for 45–50 minutes, flip halfway. Air Fryer Method: 1. Preheat to 390°F (200°C). 2. Air fry 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway until golden and crispy.
Step 3
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce While the wings cook: 1. Melt butter in a small saucepan on medium heat. 2. Add minced garlic — sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. 3. Add: 1/3 cup honey 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp rice/white vinegar 4. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes until thick, glossy, and sticky. 5. Add chilli flakes if you want a spicy kick.
Step 4
Coat the crispy wings 1. When wings are done, immediately toss them in a bowl. 2. Pour the warm honey garlic sauce over. 3. Toss until fully coated and shiny.
Step 5
Optional “Caramelized” finish (SO good 😍) Place coated wings back: Oven: 3–5 minutes Air fryer: 2 minutes This makes the sauce stick and caramelize.
Step 6
Serve with: Extra honey drizzle Sesame seeds Green onions Rice or fries on the side
