Instructions
Step 1
First, brown the butter and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Step 2
Beat the butter with the white sugar and brown sugar for two minutes, or until yellow and fluffy.
Step 3
Crack in the room temperature egg and vanilla extract and beat until just combined. The egg can be placed in warm water for a few minutes if needed to bring it to room temperature.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, whisk to combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 5
Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix until well combined, being careful not to over mix.
Step 6
Fold in the chocolate chips, then refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 350F. Cut the dough into individual cookies and bake for 11 minutes or until lightly golden brown around the edges and baked through.
