Broccoli Tots with Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

2 headbroccoli
1 ½ cupsshredded hash brown potatoes
1egg
2 Tbspmilk
¾ tsponion powder
½ tspgarlic powder
1 tspsalt
⅓ cupbread crumbs
⅔ cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Grease with cooking spray.
Step 2
Cut broccoli into small florets. Discard stalk. Measure 3 cups florets.
Step 3
Fill pot with 1 inch water. Bring to boil over high heat. Add broccoli. Cover and cook 3 minutes.
Step 4
Drain broccoli, then add to food processor. Pulse 4 times, 1 second each, until pieces are the size of rice.
Step 5
Add hash browns. Pulse 3 times, 1 second each. Carefully remove blade and set aside.
Step 6
Crack egg in large bowl. Add 2 tbsp milk, onion powder, garlic powder, and 1 tsp salt. Whisk until smooth.
Step 7
Add broccoli, bread crumbs, and 2/3 cup cheddar to egg. Mix with hands until well incorporated.
Step 8
Scoop a level tablespoon of broccoli mixture. Squeeze to shape into a cylinder. Set on baking sheet. Repeat.
Step 9
Bake 20-22 minutes, until browned on bottom.
Step 10
Meanwhile, prepare Fondue. Melt butter over medium heat. Add flour. Cook 1 minute, whisking constantly.
Step 11
Slowly whisk in 1 cup milk, adding a little at a time. Bring to simmer. Reduce to low and cook 5 minutes.
Step 12
Turn off heat. Add 3/4 cups cheddar and 1/8 tsp salt. Stir until melted. Serve with tots and fondue.
