Instructions
Step 1
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan (a 9x9 works too, but may be slightly thinner).

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
Step 4
Combine: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
Step 5
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 6
Glaze: While the cornbread bakes, prepare the glaze by mixing the 3 tablespoons of melted butter and 2 tablespoons of honey. Once the cornbread is out of the oven, brush the honey butter glaze evenly over the warm top.

Serve: Let it cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve warm.
