Instructions

Step 1
Chop the strawberry tops and save for something later
Step 2
Dice/small chop strawberries and put into Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pan.
Step 3
Add sugar and stir well into strawberries
Step 4
Continually stir over medium heat until the strawberries get to a boil
Step 5
Add lemon juice once the boil begins, as well as lemon zest if you wish
Step 6
Boil the mixture while stirring to avoid burning for 20ish minutes
Step 7
Remove from heat, place in warmed jars.
